Amitabh Bachchan is the son of Harivansh Rai Bachchan [ Srivastava ] and Teji Bachchan. The family has inter married with the Kapoor Family. Shweta Nanda is married with Nikhil Nanda, who's son of Ritu Nanda and the grand son of  the film actor Raj Kapoor.  The family stay in the 2 [ two ] famous houses "JALSA" and "PRATIKHA" in Mumbai.


The Big B amily is a prominent Indian Family, headed by the  Sri Amitabh Bachchan, from which many member's have participated in the Indian Film Industry.


It also includes his wife, actress Jaya Bhaduri, his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, daughter Shweta  Nanda, son-in-law Nikhil Nanda and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Amitabh is the eldest son of  Harivansh Rai Bachchan's two sons, the second son being Ajitabh, His mother had a keen interest in the THEATRE and had been offered a role in a FILM, But preferred her domestic duties. She has some degree of influence in BACHCHAN'S CHOICE OF CAREER because she always insisted that he should take the centre stage. He attended ALLAHABAD'S JNANA PRABODHINI AND BOY'S HIGH SCHOOL [ BHS ], followed by the NAINITAL'S SHERWOOD COLLEGE, where he majored in the art stream. He later went on to study at KIRORI MAL COLLEGE of the UNIVERSITY OF DELHI and he completed a BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE. In his twenties, Big B gave up a job as freight broker for the shipping firm, "BIRD AND COMPANY., which was based in CALCUTTA [ now known as KOLKATA, to pursue a career in ACTING.
